I love going to the library. . . the books everywhere. . . oh, it’s lovely.
I used to go to our library and get lots and lots of books every week, but now my family has a large collection, being accumulated over years of home schooling and and many bookworms growing up in the house, and my being one of them I also have a large collection, but I haven’t read all of our wonderful and vast collection yet, and it will take me many a day before I do. My favorite are my old books. The ones I find mostly at thrift stores, or possibly a garage sale or two.
I honestly don’t really read much of the new, or popular books usually. I much prefer old classics– Jane Austen, J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Bess Streeter Aldrich, C.S. Lewis. . .
I also have a great appreciation of good comics, like Tintin, the book I’m holding here. And, of course, stuffed animals.
And so, I still go to the library every week or so, but usually I don’t bring home many books. I’m reading, or waiting to read, too many. That’s what comes of having such a bookish family! 🙂
