Ready-Set-Snap! Snapshot Saturday #6!

Just so y’all know, there are these things called ‘affiliate links’ in this post-and a lot of my posts-that if you click on the link and buy the product, since I am an affiliate with Amazon and ModCloth, I will get a teeny-tiny commission (if you can call it that, though I call it a penny to rub alone), which will aid me in my blogging and Christmas-present-buying adventures!

This is craziness. The Saturdays keep coming! Are there no days in-between anymore? Ah well. We must push on. (Even when we want to sit on the couch and binge-watch Leverage and Dick Van Dyke.)

Speaking of which! Today is the first link-up of December, and since I’ve been sick all week, I haven’t done my homework. *hanging head in shame* I’m sorry. But this is a good opportunity to tell you what this month’s challenge is all about!

Firstly, however, let me remind you that you do not have to join our challenge to link up with us. If you have a post about photography, please join us. Grab our button and add your link!

Okay. December. Challenge!

This month, each week we are taking a portrait (or a small photo-shoot as you prefer) and mini-interviewing someone, much like Humans of New York, and featuring that on our Saturday link-up. Here are a couple of examples for you:

"There's a spot in front of the Pennsylvania Hotel that they let us sleep at night as long as we clean up after ourselves. I was sitting there the other night, when a man walked by and handed me a backpack. My other backpack had just broken, and so it was exactly what I needed. I thought-- 'That's a blessing.' Good things happen to good people. You really do catch what you throw."

"I don't know how to skateboard."
“I don’t know how to skateboard.”

So. Even though I failed in my task this week, I do have a picture to share with you. You see, before I got truly sick, I did take one last November self-portrait. . .

CoughDrops

Over Thanksgiving between my cousins Adam and Luke and I, we used up 3 bags of cough drops. So later Dad went and got me more cough drops. . . in the ‘economy pack’. (Just so you know, these don’t taste bad! wonders! The grapefruit is best.)

And now, I shall end this post. Short and sweet, eh? I’ll have a long post for you soon. . . but for now, I think I might just go watch a little Leverage. I hope you all have a wonderful week, and join us again, right here, next Saturday!

One more thing! Our giveaway has ended, and the winner is. . . Joyce F! Thank you so much for sending in your portraits, and participating Joyce! Congratulations!

If you want to own this book too, then simply click on this picture!

(And if you have any photography post, don’t forget to grab our button and link up! And to check it out on Dandelion Pie and Vomiting Chicken.com! Edit: Linky Tools just started working again for me Wednesday, so I’ll keep the link open for a whole week. Sorry for the delay!
